Through the MindSwarms website, companies send text or video questions to customers and receive webcam responses.  MindSwarms pays customers for their time and insight.  With the speed at which consumers preferences change, consumer-facing companies covet immediate, inexpensive access to dispersed customers.  MindSwarms provides this access.

Why webcams?  Our founder’s roots are in ethnographic research, which in Tom’s line of work means learning about people by filming them in their environments.  Film captures important qualitative cues, such as expression, tone, surroundings and gestures, often lost in research reports.  Through webcams, MindSwarms brings customers to life.

People who have participated in MindSwarms’ studies say it’s exciting to know that companies will be listening to their ideas about the products they love most.  While some people are simply happy to be paid periodically to answer a few questions, many MindSwarms loyalists really enjoy contributing to the design and development of better products.
